Now Hiring - Regional Fertilizer Account Manager (Northeast) in Allentown, PA

Gpac is partnered with a growing fertilizer & crop protection manufacturer that focuses on developing organic and research proven fertilizer products for growers, farmers and even residential gardens. Our client company is actively looking for a Regional Account Manager that will cover their Northeast territory. The focus will be on building a territory of growers and dealers. They are looking for a value and consultative sales rep that in not afraid of building a territory for scratch, bring new innovative and research proven products to the region.

This company is looking for a someone with 3+ years of proven successful ag sales experience that holds a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science or Related degree. They would also like someone who has a strong knowledge of fertilizer and crop protection for fruits, vegetables, greenhouse, or turf. This position will require extensive travel (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, OH, WV, and VA) it ideal that a person lives near an airport for travel requirements that exceed a reasonable driving distance.

Responsibilities/Expectations

• Proactively call on grower and distributor, building relationships and gaining new business
• Research and cultivate new leads and prospective customers within target market (fruits, vegetables, greenhouse, and turf)
• Ability to present the value of fertilizer, chemical and other crop protection products
• Provide outstanding customer service to established and prospective customers
• Utilize company Agronomist as an expert resource to drive sales
• Willingness to travel a multi-state territory in Northeast US (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, OH, WV, VA)

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science or Related degree
• 3+ years of successful ag sales experience
• CCA (Certified Crop Adviser) not required but a plus
• Strong Knowledge of crop protection

Compensation/Benefits:

• $65,000-$75,000 base salary
• 15% bonus opportunity
